Algonquin College Preparation

In this course, apprentices demonstrate a working knowledge of the removal and replacement of various types of automotive trim and hardware, describe the introductory information and the fundamentals of preparation products and perform assigned preparation required for various topcoat applications. Upon completion, apprentices define and perform automotive and paint manufacturers' procedures to locate automotive paint codes and identify previous paint coatings. Apprentices also identify the differences of preparation requirements for each type of refinish materials.
