Centennial College Applied Work Practices/ Procedures III

This course will review the techniques of gas metal arc welding with special reference to aluminum components. Students will learn the fundamental principles and techniques for welding plastic vehicle components. Students will learn to use appropriate practical techniques and reference materials to assess vehicle damage.. Students will learn the different types of fasteners that are used on automotive bodies. It will cover fastener grading, bolts, thread type screws, nuts, special fasteners, washers, rivets, and moldings. In addition the importance of proper mixture and application of body fillers will also covered.
