Jean-Claude Morin and Aline Duschesne of Carrossier ProColor La Baie. La Baie, Quebec -- August 4, 2014 -- Carrossier ProColor La Baie recently hosted a training session on repairs to aluminum-bodied vehicles, such as the new 2015 Ford F-150. 

The training session aimed to explain the procedures for the repair of aluminum-bodied vehicles, such as the 2015 Ford F-150, which will pose new challenges for collision repair centres. The training was attended by staff from 15 participating collision repair facilities, all located in the greater region of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

“We even invited our competitors,” says Jean-Claude Morin, owner of Carrossier ProColor La Baie. “We needed a minimum number of participants; otherwise the trainers would not come. That would mean going elsewhere for training, in Montreal for example, which is far from easy for our employees.”

Ajax, Ontario -- July 31, 2014 -- Axalta Coating Systems recently led a week-long professional development session for college and high school instructors at Axalta’s Pointe Claire Customer Training Centre. This is an annual event that Axalta hosts as part of its commitment to strengthening the collision industry in Canada.
 
The sessions covered various topics including industry trends, appropriate spray materials and equipment updates. One of the popular topics was the trends and techniques for aluminum repair. Axalta trainers from across Canada attended so that regional issues could also be addressed. Representatives from I-CAR Canada joined the group to lead a couple of the interactive, collegial sessions.
