Progressive Repair Planning: CWB Group, Canadian Collision Repair Academy invite industry to resister for repair planning course; discounted dates available

Toronto, Ontario — The Canadian Welding Bureau’s (CWB) Canadian Collision Repair Academy (CCRA) invite the industry to register for the upcoming four-day Progressive Repair Planning program. This training is aimed at experienced estimators that are proficient with estimating software and web-based applications.

Instructors say estimators can gain confidence by acquiring new knowledge on capturing, retaining and collaborating with insurers on repair plans by implementing OEM procedures and industry-approved resources for current and new generations of included and not-included opportunities, among many other topics.

“Our goal for this program is to exhibit the value of providing your repair planners with OEM-approved repair knowledge to be able to proactively document and explain the repair, as well as accessing the many industry-recognized documentation and websites,” said Jean-Marc Julien, collision repair instructor for CWB’s CCRA.

The course agenda consists of:

  • The state of estimating in today’s collision repair industry
  • Individual roles and responsibilities in the repair facility
  • Factors of influence that affect vehicle safety, customer satisfaction and a proper estimate
  • How to achieve success in collaborating/negotiating a safe and efficient estimate
  • How to achieve success in introducing a new culture of repairability in the facility
  • How profitability will be impacted addressing commonly missed labour and consumables
  • Understanding new vehicle safety systems and engineering, and their effect on repairability
  • Effective verbal and written communication to access and share recognition of the OEM requirements and the published position statements to produce a safe repair
  • Discussion repair decisions that could cause liability concerns

CWB says the four-day program benefits estimators, repair planners, CSRs and technicians.

“Our mutual goal and primary goal is and always will be to provide a structurally sound and safe repair for our consumers,” wrote the organization in a release.
