Hamilton, Ontario — On Friday, June 14, CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown held its 23rd annual Soapss It Up car wash in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
According to a recent press release, the event is “a time-honoured tradition for CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown [where] the team eagerly gathers every summer to wash cars for the community, raising valuable funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.”
This year’s car wash featured a special appearance on CHCH Morning Live with reporter Emily Vukovic, who stopped by to showcase the event and even wash some cars.
The team also had a BBQ, cookies for sale, the Toronto Raptor’s mascot making an appearance, along with a raffle to win a Toronto Raptors jersey.
The press release further noted that “CARSTAR began fundraising for cystic fibrosis in Canada over 25 years ago, when a franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis. Since then, the CARSTAR commitment to its charity of choice has only grown, as have the funds raised. Passing the $5 million threshold for funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada this year, CARSTAR looks to continue accelerating its fundraising momentum across North America this summer through its Shine Season.”
