Toronto, Ontario — Chief Operations Officer Domenic Prochilo, Simplicity Car Care is calling on the industry to help raise money for the Daily Bread Food Bank in the Toronto area.
“My goal is to have 10,000 people contribute $3.33 each, this is not a hard thing to do,” said Prochilo. “I hope that by running a self-made Ultra Race, I can inspire you to either support people in your communities, your own way. Or help me feed someone that can quite frankly, be your neighbour.”
Prochilo has also vowed to run three kilometres every three hours for three days straight, posting all of his running times daily at midnight on social media, in support of the cause.
“I share this message with you, not to impress you, but to impress upon you, that our very own communities need us more now than ever, some of the people we will help may never own a car in their lives!”
Since 1983, Daily Bread Food Bank has worked to help meet emergency needs while advocating for long-term solutions to end poverty. The organization has 207 programs across the Toronto area.
