Make-A-Wish Magic: 18-year-old with cystic fibrosis gets beloved truck refurbished

Edmonton, Alberta – On Wednesday, July 24, a truly inspiring event took place at CSN Harold’s auto body shop in Edmonton as the community gathered to present the revamped truck of 18-year-old Carter Laframboise, a recent graduate of Sturgeon Composite High School who lives with cystic fibrosis.

Despite living with these conditions, Carter’s spirit is never discouraged, and his wish to have his beloved truck refurbished was granted through the incredible efforts of Make-A-Wish Northern Alberta.

The event had a warm response from attendees, many of which were moved by the positive impact Make-A-Wish continues to have on the lives of wish kids like Carter. It highlighted the significance of community involvement and the difference it can make in bringing dreams to life.

Bennett Douglas, co-owner of CSN Harold’s, expressed his appreciation to everyone who supported the event.

“Witnessing the joy and impact that Make-A-Wish brings to the lives of wish kids like Carter is truly heartwarming. We are honoured to have been involved with this project along with all the other supporters. It’s this community spirit that helps us make these dreams come true.” he said.

In a statement, CSN Douglas Repair Groups said that they extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event a success and are looking forward to many more occasions like this in the future.

“Together, we can continue to make dreams come true and bring hope to those who need it most.”
