This outage affected “pretty much…all things Nissan,” according to a source familiar with the matter.
“You name it, it is affected,” they told news outlets.
The OEM did not specify the cause of the outage; spokesperson Brian Brockman clarified the outage was specific to the Americas regions.

2. MPI strike updates
Two articles tied for the number-two spot—and they were both updates on the Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) strike that concluded this November.
One article, published Sept. 5, outlines MPI’s call for workers to end their strike as they headed into their second week of action. The public insurer suggested that its total monetary offer of 17 percent wage increases of four years could be actioned immediately, and emphasized its lump-sum offer; signing bonuses of $1,800 or 2.8 percent of an employee’s average salary.
The public insurer also outlined its refined services implemented to streamline claims and processes during the strike. Click here to learn more.
The second article that caught readers’ attention was a Sept. 14 update where we outlined a letter sent to MPI employees from the crown corporation, suggesting that “a significant number of…employees” had requested to return to work during the labour interruption. The insurer went on to say that anyone wishing to rejoin normal working operations could contact their HR or union representatives.
The union representing some 1,400 MPI employees referred to this as a “brazen effort” to divide the striking workers.
The MPI workers strike concluded on Nov. 1. The new agreement gives employees a 13 percent wage increase over four years, plus a lump-sum signing bonus of $1,800 for full-time employees. The agreement is in place until Sept. 26, 2026.
