Success Dawns: AIA Canada’s Student Aftermarket Day

Barrie, Ontario — Automotive students, listen up–AIA Canada’s Student Aftermarket day, which is sure to be a day chock-full of learning and networking opportunities, is right around the corner.

Organized by the AIA Young Professionals in the Aftermarket, the one-day conference will be held on Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Liberty North banquet hall in Barrie, Ont. The event will give students from sales, marketing and other related programs the opportunity to discuss the aftermarket and future of the industry, as well as network with potential employers.

The conference will feature a keynote speaker, breakout sessions presented by industry leaders, as well as four “best-in-class” student presentations.

The annual conference is held in Barrie, Ont., catering to the Automotive Aftermarket program at the Automotive Business School of Canada and nearby Georgian College, which offers both diploma and degree programs. Students enrolled in the two-year Automotive Business program will complete two co-op placements and receive a diploma, while those enrolled in the four-year program will receive an honours degree, Bachelor of Business Administration once completing co-op.

The Nov. 19 event will also have a career fair and a trivia game–a crowd favorite.
