Winnipeg, Manitoba — Calling all Manitoba collision repairers: the Automotive Trades Association (ATA) Manitoba’s trade show and Collision Olympics is set to take place on October 4, 2024.
The event—which is open to both industry and community members alike—will specifically take place at the Canadinns Polo Park from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will offer attendees free food, plenty of prizes as well as the chance to win a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.
The highlight of the day’s events will be the Collision Olympics, which sees industry members compete against one another in a series of industry-related tasks.
During the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and are also invited to attend the Youth Attraction Effort, which aims to introduce students and youth to the opportunities offered by the collision repair industry.
Following this, the evening will see industry members compete in the Olympic events, while also having the opportunity to connect with exhibitors at the event’s trade show.
The Collision Olympics, first proposed to the ATA by Board of Directors member Rob Boyce, sees teams of three compete in industry-related activities such as an estimating event, repair event and auto refinishing event.
Each team consists of an estimator, a collision repair technician and a refinishing technician with members working both independently and as a team for gold medal glory.
