AI Appreciation: 81 percent of auto dealers committed to integrating AI in 2025, says new Fullpath report

Toronto, Ontario — A recent study from Fullpath titled “The 2025 State of AI Adoption in Car Dealerships” indicates that automotive dealerships are committed to substantially integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in the new year.

Specifically, 81 percent of respondents reported they expect their AI budgets to rise in 2025.

The survey, originally conducted in October, further highlights that 34 percent of dealerships use AI for marketing and advertising.

And, among the dealers using AI, 55 percent are also reportedly experiencing an increase of over 20 percent in their ROI.

Further findings suggest that 34 percent of respondents expect their AI budget to rise by between 11 percent and 25 percent. Eighteen percent are predicting increases of more than 25 percent.

Finally, 25 percent of general managers and 22 percent of dealer principals are particularly vocal about expanding AI budgets, underscoring the importance of firsthand experience with AI solutions and their return on investment.

“The automotive industry is poised for a major leap forward with increased AI investment, which can fundamentally change how dealerships operate and interact with customers,” said Ilana Shabtay, vice president of marketing at Fullpath. “The anticipated growth in AI budgets underscores dealers’ commitment to leveraging technology for enhanced competitiveness and success in the evolving marketplace.”
